Born and raised in the Chicago area, my sense of what home should feel like was
shaped early on by a warm, welcoming community rich in culture and history, much like
Cleveland. After graduating from high school, I moved to Washington, D.C., to attend
Georgetown University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and worked for
a nonprofit in the health and sciences sector. For more than a decade, I enjoyed all that
the nation’s capital had to offer, while also making frequent trips to New York City to visit
family and friends.
In 2013, I accepted an exciting position at Cleveland Clinic Innovations, the Clinic’s
technology transfer office. I married a proud Clevelander and feel fortunate to be raising
our two children in such a dynamic city.
Cleveland’s spirited philanthropic community has given me the opportunity to be
involved with many organizations, including The First Tee of Cleveland, Breakthrough
Schools and Vocational Guidance Services. I have also enjoyed volunteering at my
children’s school and serving as Treasurer and President of the Parents’ Association. I
am a self-taught woodworker and furniture maker with a passion for interior design. I
coach my daughter’s volleyball team, play piano, and am an avid sports enthusiast.
I love meeting new people, hearing their stories and finding connections. Cleveland’s
welcoming spirit, accessibility, energy and deep-rooted pride make it a city I am proud to
champion. Its vibrant arts, food and sports culture create endless opportunities for
people with a wide range of interests and experiences. Cleveland is truly a rewarding
place to call home.
