My family and I moved to the Cleveland area from downtown Chicago in 2019. The move was transformational and remains one of the best decisions we have made. My husband’s career opportunity with Destination Cleveland brought us to Northeast Ohio, and we quickly felt at home here.
We live in Orange Village, where our son attends elementary school and our daughter attends high school in the Orange City School District. As a family, we often visit Pinecrest and Eton and enjoy dining at neighborhood restaurants. We also enjoy discovering the world-class museums and cultural institutions in University Circle and along the lakefront. At home, our exotic shorthair cat, Sterling, provides plenty of entertainment.
I was born and raised in Canton, Ohio, home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Over the years, I have lived in Ithaca, New York, Bloomington, Indiana, New York City, Oxford, England, and Austin, Texas. I am a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and earned my Juris Doctor from Indiana University.
In my free time, I enjoy discovering new restaurants and hotels when traveling and attending musical theatre productions at Cleveland’s Playhouse Square, where I am a season ticket holder. I serve on the Orange Community Education & Recreation Commission and volunteer with the Orange Elementary & Middle School PTA as well as the Orange High School PTA.
Having experienced several moves myself, I understand both the excitement and the uncertainty that can come with relocating. Our transition to Cleveland was remarkably smooth, thanks in large part to the people who welcomed us and genuinely wanted to help our family become part of the community. We did not simply move to Cleveland—we became Clevelanders.
