I have called Shaker Heights home since 2017 with my husband and two daughters. Before moving to Cleveland, my family and I lived in Toronto, ON for 7 years. I have also lived in Tennessee, North Carolina, and San Francisco. Of the many cities in which I’ve lived, I find Cleveland to be the easiest city to settle into, thanks in large part to the welcoming nature of Clevelanders!
One of my favorite aspects of the area is how easily accessible everything is; from sporting events to the arts, you can almost always get a ticket and find easy parking. Wade Oval is one of my favorite spots in the city for both the museums and the beautiful architecture. My family and I enjoying watching Cleveland’s professional sports teams. While we missed living here during the Cavaliers’ championship win, we were excited to see LeBron James play for the Cavs during the 2017 season.
With respect to life before Cleveland, I grew up in Tennessee and attended college and law school in North Carolina. My husband and I lived in North Carolina for many years, where I practiced law. Since leaving full-time practice, I have enjoyed volunteering at my daughters’ schools. In Toronto, I served as President of the Parent Association for Branksome Hall Junior School and during the ‘21-‘22 school year I was co-President of the Parent Association for Hathaway Brown School in Shaker Heights.
When not working, I enjoy volunteering in the community. I currently serve as a member of the Sunbeam Board, which supports the work of Vocational Guidance Services. I have also enjoyed being an instructor for LSAT preparatory classes. In my free time, I enjoy taking walks with our goldendoodle, Duncan, spending time with friends and family, and watching my daughters’ sports games.
