Newcomers love meeting other recent Northeast Ohio transplants…they don’t have a friend group yet, and they are all looking for new connections. So, several times a year EA plays socialization matchmaker and organizes an outing to provide an opportunity to make some friends. Last week, we filled Masthead Brewery in downtown Cleveland with transplants who enjoyed craft beers, pizza, and salad while sharing relocation stories with each other.

Several newcomers had international roots…Greece, Brazil, Peru, Kazakhstan, and India…and, several others spoke at least one other language. Great to able to help diversify Cleveland!
When someone tells you that it’s too hard to convince a recruit to leave a sunny warm climate for a job in NE Ohio, tell them that they obviously haven’t worked with EA to seal the deal. We helped woo these newcomers from Tampa, Miami, Los Angeles and San Diego! Others at this happy hour hailed from New York City, Carmel IN, Rochester NY, and Bentonville AK.

These newbies settled in Hudson, Westlake, Shaker Heights, Bratenahl, Aurora, Solon, Ohio City, Cleveland Heights, and Tremont.
