Gary & Kyra Barnes
Meet newcomer Gary Barnes, his wife Kyra and their three children (9, 6 and 4 years old), who relocated from Arizona to Cleveland in 2015 for Gary’s job as Director, Total Rewards for Fairmount Santrol. Here’s their story as told by Gary:
“Before we moved to Cleveland, we did not have much of an impression of Cleveland at all. We simply did not know much more than it was in the state of Ohio. We would have never thought of Cleveland as a place we were looking to move or even would want to move. It did not take more than the first visit we took to Cleveland and the tour with Executive Arrangements for us to realize that we were wrong and this would be a great place to live. We realized during our time with Executive Arrangements that Cleveland was exactly the kind of place we wanted to live and raise our family.
EA played a large role in helping us understand what Cleveland had to offer for us and our family. They helped us zero in on the part of town we wanted to live in, helped us determine schools for our kids and gave us an appreciation for Cleveland and ideas for social activities for us and our family.
We are big fans of the Westside Market – we love the food and the shopping experience. We also love being in and around the fun and gorgeous Chagrin Falls area and the shopping and restaurant’s in the Hudson area. We also have enjoyed going to the MidWay Drive In Movie Theater on summer nights in Ravenna. We (especially our kids) have discovered the zoos and museums in the area – they especially love the dinosaurs at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
My wife found it very valuable that the tour of Cleveland was conducted by people who were from the area or at least been here long enough to know the area extremely well.
