  • Cleveland was recently featured in a great story in the Los Angeles Times – “Cleveland, once called the mistake on the lake, is on the cusp of cool.”
  • We’ve all seen the construction trucks on MLK by the Chinese gardens. The Nord Family Greenway in University Circle is underway! It’s a 300’ wide green swath that will connect the Maltz Performing Arts Center to the new Case Western Reserve University Med School Campus at E. 101 & Chester. The Greenway will dramatically change the interaction between the university, hospitals, and residents in the neighborhoods.

  • Have you ever read CAN Magazine? The Collective Arts Network publishes a quarterly magazine to help link Clevelanders to the arts in NE Ohio. The Cleveland Foundation invested $100K in this endeavor, and the Cleveland Museum of Art has ads on the back cover to support the magazine.
  • Heritage Classical Academy has a new campus at Parkside Church beginning this 2017 school year. The campus will serve Pre-K through 2nd grade. Heritage also has schools in Hudson and Stow for students K-8th.

    The Edison at Gordon Square.

  • The Whole Foods in West Akron will open in September 2017!
  • The Edison at Gordon Square is open. It’s a huge apartment complex in Battery Park (more than 300 units) just north of Detroit between W. 58th & W. 65th.
  • Link59 is an 11 acre office campus in MidTown on E. 59th between Chester & Euclid. It was developed by Geis with UH as partner. It offers 100,000 SF of office/research space and will add 300 jobs in the HealthTech Corridor once occupied.
  • The Townhomes of Van Aken in Shaker Heights are now offering a ten year tax abatement.
  • For those who enjoy karaoke – Galaxy Karaoke in Asia Town is the best that Cleveland has to offer. And, better yet, until they get their own liquor license, you can bring your own adult beverages!

  • Cleveland Chain Reaction (next version of the TV show Cleveland Hustles) announced five new incubator finalist businesses going into Slavic Village.
