The (Cuyahoga) River runs through it
In The Flats, the waterfront is woven right into city life. Kayaks, rowers, Jet Skis and boats move along the Cuyahoga River while people gather at restaurants and patios along the East and West Banks. Even the working freighters that navigate the river add to the experience. A free Cleveland Metroparks water taxi connects the two banks.
For a quieter evening, Lakewood Park’s Solstice Steps are a favorite place to relax, look out over Lake Erie and enjoy the sunset.
