It’s been many years, possibly over a hundred since Public Square was an undivided square. Thank you to Forest City for allowing us up onto the observation deck to see the progress. Public Square was our “Green or Common” from our eastern roots. Animals were communally grazed here. Old histories speak of all of the roots that remained after the trees were removed. People were tripping quite often over the hardwood remains. It appears that we will have an incredibly beautiful front lawn when it’s all done.
