May, 2025 –Valor Acres in Brecksville was the site of our most recent EA University, which we host quarterly to provide our Guides with the most current info to share with the dozen or so candidates/new hires we work with every month. Our job is made so much easier when we have fresh info to help showcase how each recruit’s lifestyle, interests and family can all thrive in our town and knowing all the facts about a huge new residential development helps tremendously.

Lisa DiGeronimo shares Valor Acres site plan with EA team

Lisa DiGeronimo, who undoubtedly wears 10 hats (every member of a family owned business does) shared the story of DiGeronimo Companies and Valor Acres, a mixed use development with just under 200 acres at the intersection of Miller and Brecksville Roads in Brecksville (more than 1/2 anchored by…..

…….Sherwin-Williams Company’s Global Research and Development Center, which will add almost 1,000 weekday office workers to fuel the coming restaurants: Flour (2nd location for this Moreland Hills hot spot) and Masu (Dante Bocuzzi modern sushi restaurant), as well as an AC Marriott Hotel.

Canvas at Valor Acres, the residential component of the development, will have rentals (apartments and townhomes) and for sale duplex homes which will add hundreds of new residents to this suburb that straddles Cleveland and Akron.

DiGeronimo is honoring the history of the site it now inhabits….even its name, Valor Acres, is a nod to the former VA Hospital that operated here from the 1940’s until it was decommissioned in 2011. The original VA smokestack, which helped to heat the sprawling 100+ acre hospital complex via coal fires, has been preserved as a landmark and now anchors Memorial Park, honoring every branch of the US military.

Additional amenities Valor Acres has brought to Brecksville include the already open to the public co-working space Limelight and Primer, a coffee/wine bar. Future additions could include a small grocery store and Valor Square will provide the green space connectivity between the tenants and the adjacent Cleveland MetroParks Brecksville Reservation and will feature firepits, grassy lawn and an indoor pavilion. And, in less than a 10 minute drive you are in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Thanks Lisa – we are all ready to move in!
