Sabrina Gulyas, Office Administrator
After growing up in “The Heights” (both Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights), I graduated from Oberlin College with a major in Mathematics and headed to Ohio University for a Master of Arts in Geography. The City of Oberlin makes a great day trip with suggested visits to the Allen Memorial Art Museum, Cowhaus (the most delicious ice cream around, sorry Mitchell’s), and the arboretum. Athens, home of Ohio University, is a beautiful and fun weekend getaway only 3.5 hours from Cleveland with great hiking in the Hocking Hills and the best locally-made beer and hard cider at Jackie O’s and West End Cider House. Athens is part of Appalachia and is a lot hillier than Northeast Ohio, which makes for a breathtaking landscape. One of the best things about Ohio is that we have no shortage of dynamic college towns to visit whether or not you know a student at the local university.
Here in Cleveland, I love that I can get to vibrant urban neighborhoods, feel alone in nature, or dip my toes in Lake Erie in under 20 minutes. In the summer, I enjoy learning about all the people and experiences here in Northeast Ohio through countless arts and cultural festivals around the city. However, when winter comes I use it as a reminder to slow down and prefer curling up with a cup of tea and watching the snow settle on 100-year-old trees outside my home. I joined the EA team in early 2019 as the Office Administrator and love being able to walk to work and constantly learn more about our region.
