I might travel often (22 countries, 23 states and counting), but Cleveland is home. I grew up on the east side, but I ignore the east-west rivalry and cross the bridge often.
As far as hyperlocal travel goes, I have way too many favorite destinations, but one of my favorite pastimes is my quarterly trip to Middlefield, which we did frequently when I was younger. I’ve added more stops as an adult, like Emmalee’s Second Time Around and Sunrise Farms alongside the originals: Rothenbuler Cheese Chalet and End of the Commons General Store.
When I’m not working or traveling, you can find me at the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Library (it’s my favorite!); I went to John Carroll University right down the street for both my BA and MA, so the neighborhood brings back fond memories. Otherwise, I’m cooking. I went to vocational school for culinary arts, and even competed in a few cooking competitions! I also love checking out new restaurants, but dim sum at Li Wah will always be in my top five.
I’ve been presenting my poetry for seven years at the Sigma Tau Delta International International Convention and have given talks on effective storytelling since 2015. I also frequent the Women’s Travel Fest.
