Margy Judd, President & Owner
I’m a native of Northeast Ohio and, although I grew up in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland, I am a city girl through and through. I love my walkable, front porch-friendly Cleveland neighborhood of Tremont just 10 minutes south of downtown and am thrilled that a growing number of EA newcomers are choosing urban neighborhoods when they relocate to our town. After spending a year renovating a century home in Tremont, my late husband and I realized we didn’t know many of our neighbors, so we founded the Tremont Trek house tour in 2002 and it’s still the best damn progressive dinner party/house tour in Cleveland. (I’m hardly subjective on this matter.)
I’m a lifelong traveler and am never happier than when I’m planning my next trip to explore the world (most recently Croatia, Madrid, and Costa Rica). A month is not complete to me unless I have seen live music in a small, intimate venue love The Agora, Music Box Supper Club and Jacobs Pavillion) or seen a show at Playhouse Square, our performing arts district (where I’ve been a board member since 2004). I love meeting the newcomers that EA sends my way and pretty much my professional and personal life are blurred together at this point; the people we help relocate to Cleveland/Akron are interesting, well-traveled, fun, and smart. I love meeting them all!
I’m an active member of In Counsel with Women; was one of the seven founders and a member of the very first class of the Cleveland Bridge Builders; and a 2007 Leadership Cleveland graduate. I’m a lifelong learner. I adore reading and have been in the same book club for 10+ years (started by one of the women EA helped relocate to Cleveland!). I’m also active in a few industry groups related to recruitment and relocation including:
- Destination Cleveland (our region’s convention & visitor’s bureau)
- NEORR (Northeast Ohio Relocation Roundtable)
- Association for Corporate Growth, Cleveland chapter
- HR Leadership Group of NE Ohio (formerly NOHRPS)
- Greater Cleveland Partnership board member of COSE – Council of Smaller Enterprises (Cleveland’s chamber of commerce)
- Downtown Cleveland Alliance Talent Attraction & Retention Advisory Committee
I couldn’t be happier to lead my amazing team of co-workers who are the best in the world at attracting and welcoming newcomers to a city.
