Margy Judd, President & Owner
A native of the Greater Cleveland area, I am a city girl through and through. I grew up in Shaker Heights, then after college moved to Cleveland’s Edgewater Park neigborhood to be close to the shores of Lake Erie as I like daily walks. I also lived in downtown Cleveland and then spent 20 years in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood with my late husband, a former Marine who had lived in 25 other cities and countries before he moved to Cleveland. In 2019, I was given the amzing gift of finding love again when friends introduced me to Craig, a recovering widower himself. We both took another chance and during COVID year I returned to Shaker to start a new chapter with him….back full circle to my roots. Everyone’s life has unexpected twists and turns and scars, right? As you can tell, I wear my heart on my sleeve and hope that helps me be empathetic and a good listener.
The pandemic really was tough for those of us who love travel and live music and performing arts, but we know it’s coming back. I’m never happier than when planning my next trip (most recently St. Barths, Greece, Croatia and Turks & Caicos), seeing a concert at a tiny venue like the Beachland Ballroom, Music Box Supper Club, The Agora, Jacobs Pavillion or watching the curtain come up for a show (Playhouse Square) where I have been honored to be a board member since 2004.
I love meeting the newcomers that EA sends my way and my professional and personal life are pretty much blurred together at this point; the people we help relocate to Cleveland/Akron are interesting, well-traveled, fun, and smart. I have made life long friends thru my connections at EA and they are people I have travled overseas with, shared meals at my home and who invited me to join their book clubs. My life would not be nearly as rich without all the people EA has introduced me to.
I’m an active member of In Counsel with Women was one of the seven founders and a member of the very first class of the Cleveland Bridge Builders; and a 2007 Leadership Cleveland graduate. I am active in a few industry groups related to recruitment and relocation including:
- Destination Cleveland (our region’s convention & visitor’s bureau)
- NEORR (Northeast Ohio Relocation Roundtable)
- HR Leadership Group of NE Ohio (formerly NOHRPS)
- Greater Cleveland Partnership board member of COSE – Council of Smaller Enterprises (Cleveland’s chamber of commerce)
