Christy Bittenbender, Guide
I am a Cleveland native. My husband and I have two grown sons; one is a doctor who lives close by, and the other is a landscape architect in Boston.
I love to travel, and organized bike trips have been a fun way to accomplish that. We have experienced eight countries on the seat of a bike! I also enjoy sports – spectator and otherwise. On our bucket list is the French Open which will complete our attendance at all four tennis Grand Slams. Paddle tennis is another life-long interest, along with bridge, reading, and theater.
I love exploring Cleveland and discovering new restaurants and cultural offerings. I am also fond of the village of Chagrin Falls where we lived for 25 years. There, one can find lots of restaurants, retail, community, and culture, including the annual Chagrin Documentary Film Festival, now in its tenth year.
I truly feel that our Metroparks are one of our most wonderful gems. We are often found biking there or hiking with friends and out-of-towners. We also support the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, one of the country’s most visited parks due to its location between two urban areas: Cleveland and Akron.
There is so much to do in northeast Ohio in all seasons of the year!
